Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary:
Marketing Coordinator reporting to the GM

Company Background:
HippoFM is a web-based software providing managers day to day and preventive maintenance work order management tools, complete with comprehensive reporting systems to ensure a timely and effective strategies that will increase the life cycle of client facilities. We are seeking someone to take Hippo to the next level with their marketing skills.

Job Duties:
• Identify target markets for the HippoFM maintenance software and develop a strategy for pursuing these opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with our national and internationally customers.
• Identify potential marketplace opportunities for other product lines through market research and market intelligence activities. Work to develop competitive intelligence competencies within all aspects of the company using primary and secondary resources.
• Recommend pricing levels and participate in developing advertising materials and trade shows as appropriate.
• Generate market intelligence, recommend actions to maintain competitive position, and identify preferred market segments.
• Work with operations and product design to create new, innovative products that meet and exceed customer needs and wants.
• Create, implement and monitor advertising and promotional activities.
• Development of sales strategic plans for the assigned product groups.
• Organize and co-ordinate customer events; such as trade shows and related events.
• Create, implement and monitor advertising and promotional activities.
• Improve productivity & enhance visibility.
• Maintain customer account information and database development/reporting.
• Develop sales promotional packages.
• Coordinate the distribution of marketing literature through various techniques.
• Organize and co-ordinate customer events; such as trade shows and related events.

Key Job Requirements:

• Excellent people skills, good team skills.
• Good analytical skills, persuasive and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills both written and oral communications.
• Copy writing, content development, design and event marketing
• Sales acumen, ability to accurately forecast, develops and delivers sales plans.
• Superior computer skills – Microsoft Office knowledge a must.

Experience:
• 3-5 years sales and business development experience
• Experience with marketing and business plan development
• Experience selling to large private and government organizations

Education:
Your qualifications include an undergraduate degree with a focus in marketing or a general degree coupled with a diploma in marketing. An MBA with a specialisation in marketing is preferred.
